So, this is my first blog post, and I hope it’s a creation that you will all love!
Ingredients:
A5 Cream card blank
Tattered Lace Floral Panel
Tattered Lace Pearl Pin Dot Heart
Tattered Lace Small Essential Hearts
25mm thick cream ribbon (around half a meter)
Momento Love Letter Ink
Elegant Sentiments by Creative Expressions stamp “Happy
Birthday”
1 x A4 Cream Card
1 x A4 Burgundy Card
3 x Burgundy Pearls (to match card stock)
Tattered Lace Every Day Essentials Glue (with fine nib
attached)
Stamping Mount; Rock-a- Blocks by Crafters Companion.
Red tape- Do Crafts
Collall Glue
Foam Pads
Glue Gun
- Cut the burgundy card to measure 20.8cm by 14.5cm. Save the rest of the burgundy card stock for later.
- Cut the Tattered Lace Floral Panel. Save the rest of the card stock for later.
- Adhere the Tattered Lace Floral Panel to the burgundy card stock (20.8 x 14.5cm). This should be done by using the Tattered Lace Every Day Essentials glue and strategically placing the glue so that the flower petals can be raised if desired.
- Cut the Tattered Lace Peal Pin Dot Heart in the remaining burgundy card stock.
- Cut one Tattered Lace Small Essential Heart to fit inside the Tattered Lace Peal Pin Dot heart, in the remaining cream card stock.
- Stamp your “Happy Birthday” Elegant Sentiments by Creative Expressions on to the Tattered Lace Essential Small Heart. The ink I used is Momento Love Letter ink. I also use Rock-a-Blocks by Crafters Companion.
- Mount your Tattered Lace Essential Heart that you have just stamped on to the Tattered Lace Pearl Pin Dot Heat using foam pads.
- Stick some red tape (I use Do Crafts) lengthways, around half way down, along the Tattered Lace Floral Panel and burgundy card you have already stuck together. Leave around 2cm of red tape overlapping at each end.
- Cut a strip of cream 25mm ribbon to 25 cm’s. Place over the top of the red tape and smooth down. With the overhanging red tape and ribbon, tuck this underneath the Panel and burgundy card to create a crisp edge.
- Use your Collall glue to stick the panel to the A5 card blank.
- Make a bow using the Tattered Lace Bow Maker, using the remaining 25mm ribbon, I did a two loop bow.
- Adhere the bow to the ribbon along the panel. I did mine on the left hand side with the tails overhanging slightly. I also used my glue gun to do this.
- Next to your bow, adhere your matt and layered heart to the panel, I used foam pads for this to give it height.
- Finally, using your Tattered Lace Every Day Essential Glue, adhere the three burgundy pearls to the matt and layered heart.
A Beautiful card ideal for any birthday, you could even
change the sentiment and it would make an exceptional Valentine’s Day card.
Well done you, such a fab first posting, welcome to the world of blogging, crafty hugs julie xxx
